(910-408-2257

Alicia M. Aviles-Corey is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) based near Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. A former Marine Corps Staff Sergeant, Katie’s passion for breastfeeding support began in 2012 after facing her own breastfeeding challenges and postpartum anxiety following the birth of her first son. After transitioning out of the military, she pursued her IBCLC certification through a role as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor with Onslow County WIC and passed her exam in 2016.

Katie’s expertise includes working with pumping parents, military families, premature infants, oral tethering issues, and postpartum mood disorders. She also specializes in weaning, tandem nursing, and oral rehabilitation, having completed the IBCLC Master Class and trained in the TummyTime! Method.

In addition to her lactation work, Katie has expanded her role in postpartum care by training as a postpartum doula, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, and Clinical Medical Assistant. She is deeply committed to creating a more inclusive, supportive community for diverse families and has aspirations to develop a county tongue-tie team and open a breastfeeding medicine clinic.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, coaching her sons’ sports teams, and spending time with her family in Jacksonville, NC.
